AC Milan will play host to Napoli at the San Siro in the Serie A on Sunday.
Milan have won two of their last three Serie A matches, but are still behind their eternal rivals, Inter, in the title race. They are in second place, four points behind Inter, with 12 rounds of matches to go.
Following a 2–0 win against Verona last weekend, Milan shared the spoils with Manchester United in a 1–1 draw in the Europa League in midweek. The Rossoneri will look to improve on that performance on Sunday as they try to keep the pressure on Inter at the top of the league table.
Napoli, meanwhile, are in sixth place- nine points behind Milan. They, too, have won two of their last three Serie A games, including a 3–1 win against Bologna last weekend, courtesy of a brace from Lorenzo Insigne and a goal from Nigeria’s Victor Osimhen.
Milan took all the points when both sides met in Naples earlier in the season, thanks to a 3–1 success that night in November. Can they come out on top again and keep their Serie A title hopes well alive?
AC Milan: Bannecer, Ibrahimovic, Maldini, Mandzukic, Rebic and Romagnoli are all sidelined with injury and will not be available to play.
Napoli: Faouzi Ghoulam and Andrea Petagna are out with knee and muscle injuries, respectively.
While both sides have struggled in defence recently, they have done fairly well in attack.
Milan have scored at least 2 goals in 10 of their last 15 matches, while Napoli have scored at least two goals in each of their last 5 matches. They both will want to stretch their short unbeaten run, so expect them to be lively in attack.
And with both teams looking vulnerable in defence, over 2.5 goals look likely here.
